Papercup is a market leader in the emerging multilingual voice translation space. Translation remains a fundamental impediment to broader global consumption of audio and video content. Voice dubbing and subtitles partially address this problem, however, these solutions lose the original uniqueness or character of the original audio content.
Papercup is building industry-leading machine learning algorithms to capture the uniqueness of one’s voice, including its tone/emotion, and output audio content in another language that sounds like the original speaker.

Investment Highlight
Sands Capital first partnered with Papercup during a seed round in March 2020. Since then, we have provided technical advice to help the business develop a scalable product. We have also facilitated more than a dozen introductions to key decision-makers at some of the world’s largest media companies resulting in some of Papercup’s most successful commercial wins.
